It started to rain; we had lunch on the train
And our B&B was very nice, you know.
We walked for miles over hills and oh what a chill;
To paddle and splash in the sea.
Eating fish and chips with an aching hip,
As the fireworks went bang!

The stone spiral has been celebrating nature on the hills for years. This time around it was looking a bit unloved so me and my friend spent a good hour tidying all the stones back into their spiral pattern. Now we know who the people are who do things like that - us! Although we just tidied it - someone else years ago thought to make it. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jayne..lovely pics. I find water: oceans, rivers and lakes extremely inspirational.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, good for you tidying the spiral.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos. Rugged and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could take a picture of fireworks like that! I try and try, but I've never got anything that good. Sounds like you had a great time!
ReplyDeleteYay!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your poetic holiday
In Swanage for the weekend - hoooray!
Just look at that place
Bet you had a smile on your face
And mementoes that filled up your case!
:-)
Take care

What gorgeous pictures. I love the contrast--the good and the bad of the vacation (and like the aching hip, as that is one of my complaints that conflicts with the mostly good.
ReplyDeleteI want to go to Swanage. What kind of cool name is that.
ReplyDeleteSuper pictures, a lovely fun lyric, and a great location. Thanks for a great post.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes, Boonsong
