Yoga also helps me chill out - it is a great way to get rid of all the clutter in my mind and feel a bit more pleasant about the days ahead!Jaynehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11309191526500602452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3507901142971459084.post-21851817045414487902009-07-20T10:34:33.834+01:002009-07-20T10:34:33.834+01:00Hello Rose! It could be there is another style out there that is more suitable for you, although it does take ages to progress. Don't feel silly in the intermediate class though - everyone else will be looking up to you! One thing I like with Bikram is there is no advanced / intermediate / beginner class - everyone is together as one (harp music), and that is really inspiring for everyone I think.

I also love dancing! Gosh yes - haven't been for ages now though - used to always be in the clubs!Jaynehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11309191526500602452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3507901142971459084.post-87881204148358927582009-07-20T10:26:37.190+01:002009-07-20T10:26:37.190+01:00Hello Joanne! Glad you liked it. :)

I like Bikram as it feels like I have done three yoga sessions in one, it gives speedy results, and I feel at one with the universe... more importantly I can eat chocolate all the time, as much as I like, and still fit my clothes! Bring it on!Jaynehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11309191526500602452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3507901142971459084.post-28249285426277368382009-07-19T21:53:53.564+01:002009-07-19T21:53:53.564+01:00i have been wanting to get back into yoga but have...i have been wanting to get back into yoga but haven't gotten myself into the routine.. it was amazing for me when i was having panic attacks. nice to find your blog!Maggie Mayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14699674732274478502noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3507901142971459084.post-2768546099099356752009-07-16T09:00:31.645+01:002009-07-16T09:00:31.645+01:00I'm also a big fan but I've reached a bit ...I'm also a big fan but I've reached a bit of a wall with it.

I do Ashtanga yoga which like Bikram is a sweaty form of yoga. I started as a beginner and have mastered all the basics but I just lack the flexibility for anything above intermediate level. The instructor says it's all part of the journey and it's fine if it takes 2 years to get advanced but I feel silly in the class with the advanced people and silly in the intermediate class.

Still I do agree yoga is amazing. I'm also not keen on any kind of cardio that isn't dancing but I find yoga feels like it is doing your body good, not throwing it around a gym stressing and straining.

Of course the best dancing of all is dancing!Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08459305021803770946noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3507901142971459084.post-69844097183156834652009-07-15T23:46:13.916+01:002009-07-15T23:46:13.916+01:00What an exhilarating post punctuated with humour! ...What an exhilarating post punctuated with humour! Love it. I've heard of Bikram but haven't seen anything here in NZ or maybe I just don't get out enough. Sounds awesome, especially if you feel so much better and can eat chocolate buttons with porridge. Well done, you. I go to yoga too, but I'm not very disciplined - either wake up too late, can't be bothered, or some other weak excuse! I have to say though, it makes me feel better. I'd like to try Bikram but I'm not very tolerant of heat or cold. I would die like a melted slug, or something. Great post.Law and Orderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05833525664073965207noreply@blogger.com
