August by the wayside

August is thought to be the high season of holidays but really it is the month of unseen magic. Turn your face to sun! Relax and enjoy! It says. And while we play on the sand and splash in the sea Nature is readying the stage for autumn. Can you spot the magician at work?

I spy with my little eye...

Cute!

It's so hard to believe Autumn is coming your way. Down here, in the Antipodes we're still waiting for winter - in the top half of NZ, that is! :)

Isn't August turning out to be great (ignoring the sudden downpours and flash flooding) - it's been fab so far!! Yay!!!

Lovely lovely pics!! Take care

I have sen a lot of changes here. The horse chesnut or buckeye in the 2nd picture was loosing leaves and I hoped maybe because it was dry and not an early seasonal change. I put a pic of sumac already red in my blog today.

Hi Jayne, I linked over here from the comment you left re my interview with ER King. Your blog has an enchanting energy. I loved, too, reading in your profile that you wanted to be a cat when you grew up. I've had two people (my mom and an ex-boyfriend) tell me that they'd like to "come back" as one of MY cats. I can't imagine a higher compliment...

I'm afraid we don't start seeing images like this until October, but I'm looking forward to the cooler temps and the change in seasons. Beautiful.

Love the pics, Jayne. I'm a big fan of autumn and autumn fruits (pears and blackberries ripening in my garden hurrah!) x
